Suggestion-Space engineers suit upgrades

I have made this before but not heard anything back (?). We have stepped upgrades in character tools and in weapons. Could we have something like that for the suit itself? Say, have the option to only upgrade the energy level, or amount of oxygen or hydrogen carried. I worked in aviation for more than 20 years and we regularly moved advances between aircraft and environmental equipment and the other way. I also believe it could add more variety in the combat and survival modes.
