Suggestion of the Implementation of Vanilla Shields

With all of the shield mods out there I think there's room for an implementation of it from you guys. It would add another interesting layer to the game and it already is a popular mod category. It could be put into experimental mode to do testing first and get feedback. It would make the game feel more finished and possibly keep older players interested.
Sorry if you've already considered this but decided against implementing them.
