Ship Specialization

So basically So basically, currently in SE you can relatively easily build a ship that can do almost everything. So a ship that is capable of doing cargo hauling, waging war and exploring. The only clas of ship that really needs any special engineering is a carrier. The idea here is that building for example a warship would require certain rather large systems for both the weapons as well as the special systems required to use the like fire control systems and missile guidance radar etc.

the idea for this came originally from the LIDAR guided torpedoes that can be built via scripts, I really like how the system requires both space from the ship and a specific system to operate it another inspiration for this topic came from real life ships. If you look at a cargo ship for example, it is just that a cargo ship with most of the shop used for this specific purpose while a warship has a large portion of it used for weapon systems and the systems needed to operate these weapons. When looking at this it would be lovely to see in SE a ship specialization system which required a bit more that just slapping some turrets onto a cargo ship to turn it into a cargo-war ship.
