Progression tree needs a different approach
The tree needs more work, both visually, and how the progression tree expands.
The progression tree needs its own window. sorta like eve online's "ship tree" with the ability to zoom in and out to get a good overview of where you are, what you need and so on. as it stands it feels fragmented and therefor confusing to keep track of.
It could also need another once over as it seems like the progression is geared towards an "earth like" start and some tech that's more important in space for instance is to far down the tree and so on.
In my opinion the tree should start on one block, but expand to the more in depth blocks early. For instance, since the first thing you notice when playing is that you cant carry very much, therefor you should only start with the basic construction blocks, survival kit and the cargo container (preferably the small container and the "small" large block container) once it is build it should give you the large container, and expand to other tech from there. having to many "branches" to early is not a good way to introduce anyone to the game. and this way if you make the branches correctly the tree should fit the different start locations better.
