Pistons and Rotors messing up with small ships

I created a airtight door on my small ship. First I did this with pistons and a merg block.
But when I was done and started to fly, I couldnt steer or roll my ship (even with multiple Gyros). The moment I cut of the pistons my ship was flying normal again. After that I tried with rotors and a merge block, and same thing happened. But the moment I cut off the door, the ship will fly normal again.
