Piston heads in the block menu

I have seen a lot of people use piston heads in their creations (like a connection point for guns), but I can't find them without a mod and if I want it in survival I need to enable creative tools to copy and paste it to the place I want it.
It should be possible in vanilla to have piston heads appear in the block menu like rotor heads do.
But let's not make it a big deal. It's just a small thing
