Orbital Dampening
now that ship to ship relative dampening is out you could let people speed up and stay that speed inside of a gravity well, all while staying on the same height above the planet.
Could prove useful for ships that can't get off planets, but can go to a sufficient height so that the carrier does not have to go all the way down and transport ships or fighters could undock and fly down and after that fly out of the atmosphere running on their little hydrogen for re-docking.
Would be nice if this could be added I have done orbital math myself and it should not be that hard. This does also not need orbital calculations as you take the vector of the gravity and for the velocity vector and calculate the resultant force of that and mirror over the horizontal vector and dampen to that vector. basically exactly the same as just dampening the gravity vector if there is one. but I imagined the ships would only have one relative vector which is changed by outside forces so here you go.
