New possibilities for planet modding

Looking at the planet modding now there is not much you can do with the heightmaps, you can make basic terrains and thats it, but i had an idea that an feature could be implemented into space engineers where similar how the current heightmaps work there is a way to remove voxels at certain depths by using specific colors. This would let modders make better planets that have much more to explore not only that the terrains would look better if this feature gets used properly. Im not the best with words but if you could please visualize what i am talking about and let your mind run wild you will see why i want this feature added and maybe others too!
