Natural PVP conflict catalyst

With more warfare updates on their way, I'd like to make a few suggestions that would make these new weapons useful.

The first problem SE has is there's no natural incentive to fight another player. Sure, some may agree to meet for a skirmish, but it always feels artificial and meaningless. We need something to fight over, something that's valuable, limited, and centralized.

High value:

This commodity needs to entice the player's end game objective. Something along the lines of fuel, ammo, or building material that will give you a competitive edge. Currently they are uranium and platinum, however this could also be some new resource.

Limited:

This item needs to be limited in supply that makes it hard to share between a populated server. If everyone can take as much as they need, there's no need for conflict (and conflict is fun). This resource could still generate endlessly, maybe it just doesn't generate fast. Which would encourage clans to occupy these focused locations.

Centralized:

This resource also must be centralized in just a few locations so players are forced to come in contact with one another. One of the most fun I've had was in a server that had all the ore on just a few clusters of asteroids. Whenever I would go collect resources my head was always on a swivel when I entered the "combat" zone.

This is my vision of a gameplay rich version of space engineers. Throw in a few reasons to visit all the different planets, and bam you'll have everyone hooked. I've been supporting space engineers since cropods were added. So I know it's the one thing players need to clash and use their fancy new weapons.

Thanks for taking the time to listen to my feedback!
