More information about contracts is needed
Acquisition contracts provide all the necessary technical details before you sign on the dotted line. All the other ones don’t, as far as I can tell. For example, hauling contracts: they tell you what you’ll be transporting, what you’ll be paid to do it, what you’ll sacrifice if you fail, and how long you have to do the job. What they don’t tell you is… where you’re going! This is totally unrealistic. Can you imagine if you were a trucker in real life and you signed a contract to deliver a parcel within 3 hours for $20, and after you signed the contract, the counterparty then told you that the destination was on the other side of the country? Nobody in real life would sign a delivery contract before knowing the destination. We shouldn’t have to in Space Engineers either.
Not knowing the destination also means that you basically can’t take *any* hauling contracts until you have a vehicle that can operate both in space and in the atmosphere and can drive at full speed for a long time, because there’s no way to pick and choose only those contracts your vehicle is capable of fulfilling, and you get penalized money and reputation every time you take a contract you can’t fulfil.
