More Game Suggestions
Hello and welcome! Hopefully the Devs of this awesome game will take note of the few things I start with and any who add to this. For whoever says this already massive sandbox is complete, you're out of your mind! There is a lot of room to make this game grow even more, let's start with the basics; blocks! They're the literal foundation of the game, one major improvement is adding to the block types, 1x4 or more slopped blocks would definitely help make more defined creations. As well as the addition of the needed blocks that already exist, like the half blocks, we need a corner piece for those and even more blocks to make larger rounded creations, like a 2x2 rounded quarter block would be nice. Even some inverted rounded blocks to make actual arches would be nice as well.
Now, let's talk wheels, the addition to the suspension wheels were amazing and making land vehicles is awesome, but being able to add another tire to the single suspension one would be nice to make actual duelly vehicles or even tracks, actually, speaking of tracks, having a few variants of actual tracks would be good to have, instead of dealing with mods and combinations of wheels that look like the Rhino Tank from GTA III.
Now some other blocks need to be improved though, like perfect example is the sound block. It is kinda weird that when a meteor storm comes through, your suit is the one that tells you. Why not have it set in the sound block instead? A better sensor and a sound block combo would be one of those things that you need to build, especially in survival. Speaking of the meteors, would there be a way to have them not particularly target a players location? Prehaps target pirate locations or just random locations? Also, would be kinda cool to add a random loot crate with the meteor shower that holds really good stuff, from lots of components to even rare skins.
With skins, would there be a way to make something that's more atmospheric? Instead of a whole space suit, perhaps a uniform, engineer jumpsuit, or something familiar?
Now let's talk a little about scripts, having a better and smarter AI would be awesome, especially for a single survival play through. Like actual pirates patrolling a plant or astroid sector. Having actual space pirate bases would also be nice, something for the player to raid and conquer. The atmospheric bases are fun to raid and use as target practice, but us players want more immersion as well. The Argent pirate ship is a nice touch, but honestly, it's simply not enough. They don't even come to attack me, the ship arrives and maybe spawn a couple things then just leaves. Having a astroid pirate base or non-grounded station would be more challenging and satisfying to attack, especially if that base have several crafts patrolling around it. Even a miner going to the nearby astroids and actually mining, would be a nice touch to plunder such crafts and having a small attack fleet chase the plunder.
Now there are plenty of vehicles and crafts that can be used in such pirate scenarios, the large Corporate Land Cruiser from the campaign would be a good touch if it was randomly rolling around the surface, or even the Brawler.
As for random roaming pirates, how about wildlife as well? There's already the deers from the Medieval Engineers game, why not use them on the earth like planets as well as the wolves? That would also be able to take the idea from ME of having to eat and maybe drink to further embrace the survival aspect.
Well, that's about all I can currently think of. There are plenty of other ideas to add to this awesome game and I'm sure others can give better ideas. Thank you for reading and hopefully we the players will see a few, if not all, these ideas in the game. Thank you.
