[Block Suggestion] Linear Ballscrews and slides

I would like to suggest the implementation of linear screws and linear slides.

This would be a multi-block system that would allow you to stretch it in one axis. It would then have a "attachment" point from which to build off. This system would pass power through itself, but not items. The attachment point could potentially generate a sub-grid. This would permit a simpler, lower framerate issue way of sliding things along/up/down. It could be used for long lifts for example, or making longer crane gantry's.

The block would only permit travel along a single axis to keep calculations simple and would not suffer from any of the bending that a piston has which should help performance.

A simpler version of this could be a linear slide system, which would be the same, but without the ability to transfer power or drive. You would require an external method of pushing to move it, but could be used with pistons to relieve the side load on them.
