In Creative, make it possible to move individual blocks around

I found that some blocks require a bit of setup and you might want to move them to a better spot later on. In particular timer blocks or LCDs, but other parts could benefit as well from keeping their name and place in cockpit, button panel or timer block toolbars.
Even better would be if several blocks could be cut out and accumulated in the clipboard, allowing you to move more complex shapes around quickly.
Currently the only way I know of is to make a copy of the entire grid and then delete everything but the parts you need from it which is time consuming.
