Hydrogen Sorting does not exsist: A proposal
I was trying to set up a system where there was a connection that filtered/horded ice and blocked gasses from going into the main system so my hydrogen ships could charge and refuel without having to juggle my stations engines and tanks. There was no simple way to do this!
Here's what I suggest. "Tank priority":
Add a small little widget to the UI of hydrogen tanks where you can set a priority number to each tank/engine. This way you could have tanks that fill before an engine does, but will also dump into small ships whose tanks have top priority.
Example:
"Small Miner tank": 1
"Ship fuel [Station tanks]": 2
"Station Engine": 3 (Recommended default for engines)
"Extra hydrogen": 4 (Recommended default for tanks)
In this example, if "Small Miner" docks to the station, all tanks will drain into it to fill. So only half of the stations hydrogen can be used to generate power. Next time Small Miner returns, she will still be given full tanks again even while the engine is running. She wouldn't have to manipulate the station at all to make this happen.
