Colourable sides on Blocks

Could it be possible to let us colour the sides on blocks differently, so we can have a different colour and/or texture on the outside of ships than the colours and textures on the walls of rooms?
Sometimes a black ship is nice to have, but then you want a room to be a much lighter colour.
