Block placement hologram

before the update we has this:

This was fine and very easy to work with.
after the update we have this:
[see "after the update.jpg"]
I'm finding this extremely hard to see the block and it's orientation. This goes for other blocks(such as the gatling gun). The colour and or skin doesn't help on making the block visibility any easier. This is just extremely difficult to make out despite the colour or skin, and I'm finding it hard on the eyes.
Would it be possible to have the block hologram visibility on a slider like the voxels hands? or something in the settings menu?
Apart from that, great update, DLC and scenario.
