Bad economy price scaling for realistic settings (Keen Official Server - Hardcore)
Greetings KSH staff and fellow players on 1x settings,
While playing on official servers (hardcore settings), I have observed that the trading price of materials (ingots, components etc.) appears to scale with refinery speed and assembler efficiency/speed. This causes ingots, components, ships and repairs at these settings (1x) to be more expensive versus the default settings (3x), which makes sense.
I don't have definite proof, but it seems like materials are 9x more expensive on these settings. Ships like the Ambassador Explorer cost between 700 million and 800 million SC at the trading station shop.
However, the payment for 'services' do not scale at all. Payments for Contracts such as Hauling, Courier, Search, Bounties and Salvage give the same payment as on default settings.
On the upside, certain goods such as food, hydrogen and oxygen are also at default values and therefore quite cheap.
Any player on your HC servers will agree that the only way to get any meaningful amount of SC is through acquisition contracts or selling components. Salvage contracts are only worth for the components you get by scrapping the grids.
I therefore ask you to reconsider the scaling of material costs and services in a way that does not completely break the intended economy balance. Since keeping the default values for everything is a problem on its own (components would then cost less than the ingots required), I would suggest that service costs and payments are scaled comparable to components and ships in the shop.
Best regards,
Welcemir
