Characters should no longer physically collide with NPCs (or just all characters in general?)

There seems to be issues with the new bots in stations blocking people's paths, I think the simpler solution that doesn't involve making complex pathfinding conditions would be for the bot entities to never collide with player character entities.
And I'd argue this would be very useful for player-to-player collisions too, where no characters ever collide with other characters, but the main need is for player-to-bots.
Games like Left 4 Dead (2?) employ something similar with the addition of a soft repulsion force as to feel a bit physical and not just passing through ghosts and reduces the time visual clipping occurs.
