SUGGESTION: Working Toolbar on Captain's Desk

The Captain's Desk has a toolbar, but nothing can be assigned to this. Being a desk with a keyboard and display, it should allow me to assign functions to the existing toolbar to do things like toggle lights, close doors, etc. I understand it's not a flight seat, and I'm not looking for that, but if I can turn on and off lights in my IRL home from my computer, I should be able to do so from my ship as well.
This is a very trivial feature to code, so please consider adding it to a future update.
