Persistent tracking of players using Custom Turret Controller
Not Enough Votes
As an administrator on a multiplayer server for Space Engineers, I am reporting a significant exploit that allows a player to persistently track targets beyond standard gameplay limits. This exploit impacts fair play and could potentially disrupt server operation due to unintended gameplay mechanics being exploited.
Steps to Reproduce:
- The player utilizes a programmable block and Custom Turret Controller on their ship.
- They configure the programmable block to display target information on an LCD panel.
- Through specific scripting or setup within the programmable block, once close to a target, the system continues to provide location even after the target has jumped away, creating a persistent tracking mechanism.
Impact of the Bug:
- This exploit allows for an unfair advantage by enabling one player to track others continuously, thus disturbing the natural competitive and tactical elements of gameplay.
- The exploit undermines the privacy and strategy of gameplay, potentially leading to player dissatisfaction and disruption of server balance.
We request your urgent attention to resolve this exploit to preserve the integrity and fairness of the gaming environment on our server. I am willing to provide additional details or assist in debugging efforts to expedite this issue's resolution.
Thank you for your prompt response to this matter.
