Antenna signal quality

The entire signal system could be much nicer from a QoL and gameplay persepctive.
Antenna signals could be worsened by sandstorms or being underground, making cameras or remote controls have input lag or worsened quality, or static overlayed when drones reach the edge of your signal range.
signals being affected by going through voxels would give some more incentive for signal relay satellites as opposed to just having to be within range.
transporting signal over land could be done by a series of antenna towers across the surface to bend around the curavture.
signal networks being important for factions would be a really intresting aspect of faction survival or pvp.
