Mass Nullification Drive

We need a proper mass nullification drive (MND). How does this drive work? It is super lategame block. The block creates a field that reduces the mass of grids that are not attached to the same grid as the MND block. The MND block comes with module slots, and they allow the drive to be overcharged. With the MND, the grids are reduced by a % of their total weight, with the cost per second in watts being calculated by scaling a multiple of the number of kilograms of total mass reduction that the drive causes.


The mass nullification drive offers an alternative to stacking hundreds of jump drives on a large ship in order to increase jump range. With the MND, a smaller ship that consists of a single grid that is heavier than 1.25 million kg can get max jump range between structures with an MND.


Larger ships that isolate an MND and a power source onto a second grid and connect it to the main ship could be constructed as well now, where the MND is internally held and is isolated from the main grid via connectors. This allows the largest ships to use their batteries to feed their MND for jump preparation, and then make the jump, power down their MND, and go back to a normal state.


In addition, MND's could be used to make otherwise cumbersome ships very maneuverable, and there could be entire warship designs that revolve around excessive amounts of energy directed to the warship's MND in order to remain nimble. In essence, the MND does away with the need for hundreds of thrusters on large vessels. The vessels still need to use alot of energy, but its instead being used by the MND, not by the ship.


Lastly, the MND could be used to alter the ability of enemy ships to fly/fight/jump. By hosting an MND on the ships main hull, (in addition to an MND located on a separate grid) the ship's MND could be activated in order to increase the mass of enemy ships 5-10x, making their thrusters ineffective, and degrading their jump distance.
