Respawn consumable : limited cloning ...Game optional

The body of an engineer requires a source of material to build a clone.
A container of Primordial Bio Goo made from algae would do.
This could be as a byproduct of the oxygen farm or a new type of block.
Ice and trees or other carbon source could be used as a material feed.
It will take time to produce new Goo containers, storage of the containers could be limited.
Survival could start with a supply of 5 containers.
Question : would there be a need for a system to make the clone conscious?
(maybe a c/klang chip)
As for making a new suit, I believe other topics have discussed this already.
Although too many requirements could make cloning / re-spawn complicated for new players.
