can the new console modules get lcd capabilities?

I've just bought the new signal pack, and checked out the new decorative console modules. I've come to a conclusion that you can't change the pictures on the screen's on the console module and the corner block. Almost all blocks containing a screen give the option to edit the content of the screen with texts or custom monospace pictures. Can that function also be added to the new console module and the corner type?
