Issues with ps5 controller unsupported

Since the game has been launched on the PS-5 I was under the assumption that the PS-5 controller would be supported in the PC version of the game. Since I had purchased the Play Station version of the game and enjoyed it I figured I'd give it a go on the PC version as well.
I"m supper disappointed that the controller isn't supported please can you add ingame support for the ps5 controller the work arounds i've found are unplayable and I want to use the additional mods and such that are available to pc but am unable to play the game on a pc due to disability without using a controller.
If a fix is issued can an announcement be made? Hoping that it isn't a giant deal seems like it would already be worked out but I'm no programmer.
