It would be neat if we could make any sized block down to some unit perhaps 1x1x1 or if possible, even smaller, and larger up to some upper limit. A hydrogen tank that is only 1x1x1 for example or a supersized ion thruster, piston dimensions, ect.. It would give players a lot of creative control in what they do.
For example, making tracking missiles would be cool if you could use a smaller hydrogen tank for a smaller profile. There are problems such as blocks with ports not being symmetrically scaled down, in this event you could either forgo symmetry or only allow dimensions that preserve symmetry.
