Different ammo types
Add different ammo types to the game. An artillery turret for example would be able to fire both armor piecing rounds (the ones it uses now) or high explosive round that deal splash damage. The assault cannon could use flak rounds that are effective at taking out missiles or the regular nullet against ships. Speaking of missiles. After warfare 2 they have been basically useless in pvp due to the slow, short range projectile. Perhaps add two variants of missiles: The guided missile that is fast and does little damage but is basically a guaranteed hit or a slow unguided Torpedo that you definitely don’t want to touch your ship. Both should have the full 2000m range. This would make missiles viable again and add more variety in combat without actually needing to add new weapons.
