Implementation-friendly way to reward good thruster placement

Right now, thrusters can be placed as far away from the center of mass as one wants without affecting thrust power or spinning the ship when thrusting, as thrust gets applied to the center of mass regardless of thruster placement.

This has been debated before, but the solutions proposed were probably quite hard to implement and would break some existing ships.

I propose a different approach:

  • thrusters will provide thrust the same as now, directly to the center of mass no matter what
  • in addition, the thrusters placed asymetrically (with no corresponding thruster on the other side of the center of mass) generate fake gyro utilization, crippling the ship's ability to spin while using the asymmetrical thruster
  • this fake gyro utilization should be proportional to how far away the asymmetrical thruster is from the center of mass
