Event controller Large Vs small

This makes no sense like some other blocks. why I can make a cube of 5x5x5 small event controllers in place of 1 large event controller. Let the large grid variant to do more events at least make the model match it has 4 task switches/lights on it so let it do 4ish tasks in sequence.
I think if its large grid it should have enhanced functions for lets say Refinery's, assemblers, sorters and cargo management. if its small grid it should be limited in function to say like block on/off and connected/disconnected functions
Sorters + event controllers should get a solid inventory management system working with out scripts.
