revisiting older blocks mountpoint?

As newer dlc gets released, there seems to be a subtle p2w trend going on with mountpoints/collisions

this subtle advantage starting to happen on the warfare2 ion thrusters, where the thruster "nuzzle" gets to have further mountpoint then its vanilla/scifi ion thrusters counterparts, this additional mountpoint could provide further structure integrity to the ship as it can remain connected with more block getting destroyed

this is more obvious on the new programmable blocks, for large grid, it seems that compare to the old vanilla programmable block, the new thing provides much more structure support as it have more mountpoints at each sides then the programmable, which is only mountable from below. hence they are much harder to get loose compare to the old vanilla one. its also smaller profile which allow player to fit more into the same space without blocking players path, unlike the vanilla ones. the mountpoint advantage can also be seen on its small grid variants, where the vanilla small grid programmable block is only mountable from behind, and the dlc is capable of mounting on all 6 sides, allowing it to be used as a part of the structure, known as programmable missiles loves this

industrial dlc seems to be the start of those trend, with the refinery having front side partially mountable unlike the vanilla old refinery which have no mountpoint at the front (it even allow walk through which give possibility for much compact ships) but at the cost of no top conveyor port, which did balance it out a fair bit

collision wise the industrial large hydrogen thrusters gets benefit from blocked off thruster "base" eliminating the possibility of enemy infiltration from exposed thruster. but it did come with a cost lack of side thrusters and 1 block longer (takes up more space)

but its nolonger the case now

would older blocks get some mountpoint revisiting, and get extra mountpoints at places seems appropriate and balanced?
