Drone recorder trying to dock with moving vessel

Feedback/Idea: So I got a drone using the recorder to successfully dock but it struggles if the target ship is moving faster than 10m/s (drifting with inertial off.) I dont know what it would take to do but would it be possible to dampen to the ship as its moving and let the ai block finish the manauver, as it stands it apears the ai block fights and loses to the inertial dampeners if its target is moving to quickly
