Learning AI NPC
I would like ask, if it possible to use an external website for AI learning NPC.
What I mean is a user write (chat) with an NPC the chat it sent to an external website that will process the text, then it will provide an answer and send it back as a text chat to the player. The processing and AI learning software and hardware will be on their site and the only input and output will be processed by the game. The reason I ask is because I know a group of academics that have the software already running, but they need the test subjects, and since is not software or changes involved (at the moment) it will be free (royalty free) to use for this game, and in return they will have data and models for their software they are developing.
If it would be possible it will make NPC sound like humans and the game will benefit greatly, last part is my believe.... ;-)
