can there be a way to set a world back to non-experimental mode?

a while back I had a survival world for me and my sister, but then after using mods for a bit I forgot to turn off experimental mode before entering the survival world.
since then, the world is now stuck on experimental mode and my horrible computer won't let me load the world.
all I ask is that there should be some way to revert a world back to normal mode without using an old backup so that progress isn't lost.
