Gyroscope Upgrade Modules

Currently, any decent sized ship requires a large amount of gyroscopes. While adding a scaled block does help, it won't add more engineering into the game. Upgrade modules add new trade offs for more interesting ship design.


Power Module

The Power module increases turning rate in exchange for power. The module only works in the direction in which it is placed and only increases turning rate in that direction. You can place far less gyroscopes now, but you may have to make sure you have a good power generation setup.


Quickturn Module

The Quickturn module has a more active effect. Once activated by an action, it will increase turning rate for a limited time. After the time has ended, the module will have to charge up again. If you want to build a ship that can flipburn expanse style, this module is what you will be using.

Dampening Module

The Dampening module increases the turning rate when gyroscopes are acting as inertial dampeners. While requiring power, it does increase turning rate more than the Power Module This module will be a good use on ships that either require more dampening than usual(Clang Issues) or are very difficult to stop turning.
