can we get lighter weights components in vannila

so i was looking at one of my designs that has ( Ion thrusters + Atmo thrusters + Hydrogen )
by the time a design looks some what good and your trying to balance it to preform in every regard the total weight of the ship is ridiculous this is a fairly compact design survival ready.
if your building in one regard lets say atmospheric its not that bad by the time you want decent performance across the board it becomes a impossible task of counter balancing weight to thrust to try and get mediocre performance please developers it's just not looking realistic to do it in current format.
its currently brutal some quality of life changes to make it easier and more approachable to build something like this and make it function less forgiving weight across the board of components in vannila would be lovely.
