Target control - Allow Turrets To Remotely Fire
The Warfare 2 update has added a lock-on and weapons capable of firing beyond 800m. However, turrets don't actually fire beyond their range until a player in the control seat copies the target. This means grids are dead in the water until a player manually locks on and copies targets.
Target control
The Target Control block is designed to work alongside the player with 2 functions. The first is to transmit lock on to other ships across antenna connections and both grids must have a target control block. This even means a ship can lock on to a target beyond the 2km lock on range as long as there is a suitable antenna connection. This means you can have spotters.
The second function is the ability to copy and forget target to other grids. This means the player can command all turrets on all grids they own with a suitable antenna connection(both grids require a target control block). Turrets will then fire appropriately to their settings. You can also cycle subsystems on other grids with actions.
