experimental mode in single player locked a setting on

i turned off experimental mode due to having issues with it causing lag and frame drops. now if i dont have it on i cant play. the setting adaptive simulation quality cannot be turned off without experimental mode and if i do turn it on i cant run my world without it staying on.
