How to find uranium without wasting all your time?

any tip how to find uranium? I can't find any after searching for hours since yesterday. I've set the ore detector to 150m but it seems this new roid clusters (i did not played since one year) are 99% out of rock?!
Survival became just a timewasting pain. They finally added economy (where you don't even get oxygen or energy for free, everyone greedy in space, watching their +10 reputation mate dying ) but they now made it beginner unfriendly like hell. Don't really understand it.
And whoever built the space pod, i hate him

Finding uranium on asteroids now is just a crapshoot. On a previous server iteration (I run my own server for friends at home), I searched about 60 asteroids before I found uranium. On our current server, one of the guys went to space and found uranium on the 5th asteroid he prospected.
I have seen some tips for getting uranium that involve salvaging enemy ships that contain missiles and breaking those down, and/or buying the missiles from traders and breaking them down for their components. Unfortunately, the solution I've been using is essentially, "Forget building around uranium as a plentiful resource," so I've moved to including lots of deployable solar panels on rotors, H2 engines for charging batteries, and charging stations with wind turbines on planet or solar panels in space.
