Multiplayer and Visual concerns

As someone who is starting out on the Xbox one version of space engineers. I was wondering if there would be a Safe Area option, because my screen is cutting off important parts of the game.
Also why is it not possible for a original Xbox one to host more than 2 people. Why does it have to be Xbox one X?
