Add a drop-down with the latest game versions, with the latest version auto-selected, and maybe make it a filterable thing when viewing reports.

Unfortunately, nearly all options for the site affect the entire site, including all of the other games. The software is PHP though so we can always reprogram it if we have to. We have a few higher priority changes before we would consider forum specific version numbering.

So there are two issues. The first is that there is one form for all topics (problems, ideas, question, thanks). That means that ideas would also get versions. The second problem is that providing version numbers would show the same numbers for both games which could be pretty confusing. Alternatively, we could just provide a text box where you could type in a version number but then we're back to the first issue. If you're alright with version numbers on your ideas then I can do it easily enough.

Actually looking at the quality of reports, maybe pre-fill a good template (text and title) for how people should report things.
Or a message on one side of the text box suggesting a good format and what details to include, what files in case of crashes, etc.
