RayTracing/DLSS unavailable on Proton Linux (suggested fix included)

Build: 4.0.0.3165

System: Linux, RTX 5090, NVIDIA 615.78, GE-Proton11-11

Problem: Ray tracing and DLSS greyed out on NVIDIA under Proton.

Render12.log:

Adapter 'NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090' has 0 RTX cores
Adapter 'NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090' quality capped from High to Normal (raytracingTier11=False, VRAM=35GB)
IsRayTracingSupported = False, Teraflops = 0, IsDlssHardwareSupported = False

Cause: NvApiWrapper.dll calls NvAPI_GPU_GetAllClockFrequencies (VER_3, ClockType = BOOST) before NvAPI_GPU_GetGPUInfo. dxvk-nvapi supports only CURRENT and returns NVAPI_NOT_SUPPORTED. The wrapper then skips GetGPUInfo and reports 0 RTX cores and 0 TFLOPS. Adapters.cs disables ray tracing, and DLSS with it. vkd3d-proton reports DXR 1.1/1.2 correctly.

Side effects: false minimum-requirements warning (Teraflops = 0); false scaling-mode performance warning (adapter capped to Normal, no DLSS).

Suggested fix:

  • Call GetGPUInfo regardless of the clock query result. On failure report TFLOPS as null, not 0 (the minimum-requirements check accepts null).
  • Fall back to ClockType = CURRENT when BOOST returns NVAPI_NOT_SUPPORTED.

Verified (wrapper patched to CURRENT, Proton with wine-nvml): 76 RTX cores, ray tracing supported, NGX probe OK, quality High, no minimum-requirements warning, ray tracing and DLSS work.
