Lost all sound

Hi There,
Firstly I LOVE space engineers 1 and 2 I have thousands of hours in it. I have lost all sound in SE2 even the music on the load in screen. I have verified (steam) my game and reloaded it 4 times. No change. Can you please suggest something as I have run out of ideas, and with the renegades now out there, I need t hear. Please help.
