Game Performance is tragic.
Hi!
First of all. I'm aware that my GPU is outdated (listed below). What I'm trying to report here is the choppy performance I'm experiencing throughout the game, with constant FPS drops whether I'm on the Moon or Earth. While the Moon does run a bit better presumably due to the less demanding environment or in Space, obviously which why I've built my base there as well. On Verdure I get roughly 30 FPS and the visuals are just horrible on these settings, playing on this planet is practically unplayable for me.
Grinding blocks also feels a bit sluggish, and due to the performance issues, I sometimes end up accidentally grinding down other blocks as well. Smaller blocks especially seem to take a bit too long to grind down too.
I'm playing on medium settings with FSR enabled, on a fresh Windows 11 installation that's only a month old, yet my RAM usage goes up to nearly 90% while playing. Meanwhile, other AAA games like Battlefield use less than 60%. To me it looks like that the memory leaks apparently still haven't been fixed, because this level of RAM usage and the constant stuttering don't seem normal, even considering my outdated GPU.
My Rig:

RAM: 32 GB DDR4
Graphics Settings:

- Anti-Aliasing: FSR
- Scaling Mode: Balanced
- Ray Tracing: Disabled
- Sun Shadows: Medium
- Local Light Shadows: Low
- Lighting: High
- Terrain: Medium
- Textures: Medium
- Parallax: Low
- Particles: Medium
- Rendering Distance: Medium
- Grass: Low
- Clouds: Medium
- Decals: Medium
- Armor Bevel: Enabled
Additional feedback unrelated to the current issue:
- I'd also like to suggest adding a Locked/Unlocked event for the Connector, if possible. Having to assign two separate tiles on the toolbar just to connect and disconnect isn't really convenient.
- The docking could use some tweaking. Sometimes it feels like a black hole trying to suck me into the void, as if it has some personal beef with me
- The Moon is way too dark, making it difficult to see and look around properly.
- Sometimes there's a weird force that throws my ship away or suddenly prevents me from moving. Other times, my thrusters randomly fail and show thrust overload for no apparent reason
Other than that, I'd appreciate any recommendations anyone might have. Maybe it's time to accept that my hardware is getting outdated, but I guess I just don't want to admit it yet. Hopefully I'm wrong.
I have the same bug
