Error while connecting load and transporting

If I connect a load to a hinge and a drill, the materials are transferred to the load. However, if I connect another transport element (such as another hinge or a piston) to that hinge, followed by the drill, it no longer recognizes the load, and I am unable to extract the materials from the drill.
