Cant interact with menu screen

Occasionally, on launch, the game loads to the menu screen, the music plays but the menu doesn't register any input from either mouse or keyboard. Clicks, enter, space, escape, even alt+enter dont register, game has to be ctrl+alt+del to exit.
Setup - 4 displays, 2 keyboards and 2 mice. Active display changes between 1440 monitor on display port and 4K TV on 20m fibreoptic HDMI, other displays are then disabled but all 4 input devices remain active regardless of which is in use.
i9 12900k, RTX 5090, 64GB DDR5, Win11 Pro 25H2
Steps tried:
- Disabled NVidia overlay, confirmed steam overlay was already disabled (no other overlay software running)
- Adjusted scaling and resolution, in case inputs not drawn in location to match graphics
- Deleted files in AppData\Roaming\SpaceEngineers2\AppData\EngineOptions, in case issue with settings. This changed the landing screen to the welcome page rather than the menu but did not fix the issue.
- Tried with onscreen keyboard
- Re verified game files in steam
- Graphic driver is up to date
