Weird explosions in sky

I've noticed some weird rotating explosions in the sky. I've started noticing them after I built my first hydrogen thruster ship, so maybe they are an rendering artefact from that?
I'ts hard to see on a screenshot, but the site doesn't accept my video capture, so I've attached two screenshots where I highlighted the explosions with a red circle around them.
I have the same bug
