Free Scrap salvage encounter spawns identical overlapping grids

Environment

  • Game Version: Space Engineers 2 (VS2.3.0.2793)
  • Setup: New Quickstart, near the barn. Unmodded.

The IssueThe "free scrap" salvage encounter spawns two identical, completely overlapping grids in the exact same coordinates. This causes targeting issues and duplicates salvaged blocks.

Steps to Reproduce
  1. Start a new Quickstart on version 2.3.0.2793.
  2. Locate the "free scrap" salvage encounter near the barn.
  3. Attempt to target and grind down the scrap components.

Observed Behavior

  • Targeting Issues: Hand grinders have difficulty locking onto or targeting specific blocks initially because two distinct collision meshes are fighting for the same space.
  • Duplicate Grids: Once a connecting piece is successfully ground down, the overlapping structures separate. For example, grinding a single connector block causes two identical, independent thruster assemblies to fall right next to each other.
  • Individual Salvaging: Once separated, both duplicated assemblies can be targeted and ground down individually, resulting in double the intended salvage resources.
