Connector not allowing access to inventory screen through main port

Hi, I scanned the latest bugs but nothing recent.
I am using version 2.3.0.2783 of SE2
When I add a connector to a cargo block, I cannot see / access the inventory through the main port of the connector via F button \ key, but I can access it if I use the side ports of the connector.
This occurs for all 3 cargo block sizes, and to all large cargo ports.
Method - Add cargo block. Add a connector to a large port of that block. Face it and press F.
Expectation - Inventory screen displayed with current connector content pre-selected.
Actual - Nothing - Menu does not appear
If I repeat the above but use the connectors side ports, the inventory screen IS displayed.
Pretty sure this worked with VS 2.2
