Phasing after leaving control seats on large ships. (Near 300m/s)

I am currently building a massive base and have had no issues with it's building or the games running the enormous vessel. (It's actually quite remarkable.)
However I have noticed that as I fly the ship close to the speed cap of 300 m/s my character falls quite a distance through the floor or wall behind my control seat. I usually find myself a deck below the control chair, since I still have a deck under the control areas of my ship it hasn't been an issue. But it's still happening.
