Survival - Contruction Mission - Welder Ship not welding

If you are looking for new audience for this game, I'm it. Cause I have NEVER played SE1. So let me clarify bug, what you need to do is probably give more guidance.
On the construction mission you have a half finished welder ship. When the ship is completed and you load your ores and go to weld, it doesnt weld the way your hand held welder does with raw Ores.
This is ofcourse (as I found out) because it need components(not raw materials) added to it.
So a couple comments:
- This should be clarified when you try to weld with a message blast(like you do in other areas) mentioning they need components, not raw ores. This is very confusing for a new player because we can weld find with our hand held one.
- Also, I have no clue what components the block I am trying to weld on needs. So when you come in range of a grid, it would be nice if it pupped up a window saying how many of what things the total grid will need to be completed.
I cant think of anything more. Like I said... its not like a technical bug... just a 'survival guide' bug.
